SMOOSHES and "THE DEAD"

SMOOCHES and "THE DEAD"

I've been with Mommy now, for about 13 months.
She used to, before I came around, have herself "Dead Concerts". She says they would start early in the evening, and go on till mid-morning.
Well, the other night, she pulled out those shiny, round things, and put them in that black box. Let The Concert Begin!!
We had a ball, for hours!!!!! Sing and dancing. Then she tried to put me to bed
This is "The Greatfull Dead"!!!! Are you MAD?!?!?!!? Let's party!!!!
She refused to dance, so I just sat on my perch.
Every time a song ended, I would run out onto my patio and "scream" for more.
I guess it might have been around 2 or 3, I don't know. I can't read a clock!!!! She asked me soooooo many times between songs, I learned to say "Can We Go To Bed"?
I'm not even 1 1/2 My Name Is SMOOCHES and "I'm A Dead-Head"!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait for the next concert!!!!!!

BIRDS-PARROTS INFO- BOOKS ( QUAKER MONK PARAKEET)

Do you have a bird you'd like to know more about?

Are you interested in a bird, but not sure if it's right for you?

Trying to decide which bird might suit you best?

I have a few helpful hints.

You can learn more thru books, or E-zines.

You can explore differences in birds through charts.

If your thinking about a bird as a new pet, you may consider adoption.

Many birds live 50-80 years. Maybe they out-lived their companions.

Now in need of a new home. Please think about it!!!!!!!!!!

PARROT BIRD FOOD NUTRITION (QUAKER MONK PARAKEET)

FOOD and NUTRITION should be at the top of your list when caring for your Parrot, or Parakeet. Pellets are designed with the best nutrition in mind. They should be your Bird's staple.

Follow this up with healthy foods, such as fruits and vegies. Many birds love meats of all sorts. Meat should be fully cooked, and have a lo/no fat content.

I put a lot more health info on my site. Read more about Diet. Find a great selection of Bird Food. I even put up a list of Favorite Foods, and Toxic Foods, and another of Toxic chemicals.

MONK PARAKEET TOYS

BIRD TOYS

The Monk Parakeet has a lot of energy. While your off to work he needs something to keep him sane. TOYS!!!!!!!!!!!! Monks love their toys. Love 'em so much they destroy them.

The toys destroyed most, are probably favorites. Don't go buy exactly the same, but similar. This will help to keep the mind active.

When replacing your Monk's toys, move things around a bit. The more stimuli, the better.

"IF YOU TOUCH MY TOYS, YOU MAY LOOSE BODY PARTS!!!!!!!!!!"

You might consider re-locating your "little monster" before doing the toy exchange!!!

It'll probably be better for all involved.

You can find lots-o-toys at jaytee's Quaker Parrots.

BIRD CAGES (QUAKER- MONK PARAKEET)

CAGES

Your Quaker's cage is very important to his health and life.

The Quaker has been known to live over 30 years. He calls cage Home!

Most recommend a minimum size of 18x18x24. This allows space to stretch the wings, and have a couple toys.

Sounds to me, like a life sentence!!!!!

You might want to go a little bigger. Make some space for exercise, and a few more toys.

The Quaker is high spirited. The added toys, and space will keep him entertained while your off to work all day.

You can view some Quaker Homes at jaytee's Quaker Parrots.

MONK PARAKEET

The Monk Parakeet, also known as The Quaker Parrot, or Quaker Parakeet, is a high spirited little guy. You'll find a "whole-lo-a-parrot" in this little bundle of feathers!!

While the speech may not compare to the "Grey", or some "Amazons", the Monk's speech far exceeds most Parrots.

The Monks personality, far exceeds the "Grey", and the "Amazons".

The Monk is known for LPS (Little People Syndrome). The Monk is very territorial. They have been known to attack owner, spouse, children, cats, and even large dogs.

These tendencies are possible with any Monk. With proper training, most Monks will be fun loving, and a great joy for the whole family.

As long as he's not "caught in the act", seeing a 4 oz. Parrot chase an 80 lb. dog down the hall can be rather entertaining! Did I mention they're "High Spirited"!!!

You can read more about the Monk at jaytee's QUAKER PARROTS.
